FURMINATING

Are you tired of endlessly brushing and vacuuming to get rid of excess fur on your clothes and in your home? Whether you have a short-haired or long-haired coat dog, you will be amazed at how much fur comes out of their coats during the process of furminating. Removing the double undercoat caused by moulting and shedding, with our specialist tools, means that there will be so much less for you to deal with!

FULL GROOM

We promise that we will listen carefully to exactly what you want and do everything we can to ensure that, like all our customers , you will always be delighted when you pick up your pooch!

HAND-STRIPPING

Dogs’ coats fall into two categories – they either shed (moult) or grow. A coat that grows has a cycle where it reaches a maximum length and then comes out. Hand-stripping is the process of pulling out this dead hair out of the coat of a non-shedding dog, such as a terrier or schnauzer, so the new coat can grow, either by using specialist tools or the fingers. While some dogs might not like it, it is not painful if done properly by experienced groomers like ourselves and will leave your dog looking glossy and sleek.

NAILS

Dogs’ nails grow rapidly and require regular trimming to ensure that they do not cause discomfort when walking or injury to your dog’s pads by ‘turning in’. Scratching a problem? For a minimal extra charge, we will grind down the sharp edges, using our specialist tool and make that enthusiastic welcome home just a little less painful!

WE DO NOT EXPRESS ANAL GLANDS
*Excessive matting can be very uncomfortable for your dog and can be distressing to them to try and comb out. We will do everything we can to try and preserve your dog’s coat, but will always put the wellbeing of your pet first and if necessary, may need to ring you to advise that we will need to use clippers to take off some of the length. Please note that if we are successful in combing out excessive matting, it may incur an additional charge at a rate of £5 for every additional 15 minutes over 2 hours.
